Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 09, 2010 3:19 pm Hi. Just a quick question. We seem to be missing one peg on our property which is the front right peg. Because we are building our house of the left side will we need to get a surveyor and pay and extra $1000 for that peg ??????? thanks for your help Re: One missing Peg 2Apr 09, 2010 3:30 pm I’m not 100% sure about this one, but I was under the impression that if a peg is missing, your builder won’t start until a surveyor has replaced it, definitely check with your builder though to see what they say. As for the cost, can you shop around? Surely you can get a cheaper price. You are essentially paying for it to be re-done as that is exactly what they have to do. You should be able to find a much cheaper one though. no more than $500. How hard it to get a measurement on the footpath using your title and put one it. . Given that it is really missing as this could be another story. Perhaps it is hidden below ground level. Perhaps measure where it should be then dig till you find it. More times then not it is there Re: One missing Peg 6Apr 09, 2010 3:44 pm Borg, what you are suggesting is against the law in VIC, NSW, ACT, QLD, TAS and SA. (I dont know about WA or NT). Their name should be on the title documents. Also there is still a chance it is burried. Re: One missing Peg 10Apr 12, 2010 5:46 pm We found our missing peg burried, we just took measurements from the other to locate it. The peg was about half a meter away from where we thought it was. Control joints may reduce ugly cracking during periods of soil… 3 9796 Hey guys building a new place through a volume builder and just wondering if i should complain to the site supervisor as we just had plasterboard installed.
