Re: HIA Expo 2010 Been there than that! 3Apr 09, 2010 9:35 pm I think at least a third of the show was windows and double glazing, another third solar panels, and a mix for the last third Got some cards to send off plans for termite protection though, so that saves me some running around. We're also having the Kirby vs ducted system debate now. Found a hot water system to get pricing on. And a few other bits and pieces which I cant think of.. We will buy one eventually when the house is done, dont have much storage space here at this house. They were going for the same price at the show as they do anywhere else, so it wasnt a "bargain" to have convinced me to get it then and there Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Biiiiggg mistake! Should have let him get it - they work and the bonus was that you shoud have been allowed to get something too hahaha. I'll remember this for the next show...which I think is Oct. (just before we move in to the new house - yay) Given it took us 3 hours this time, we'll need to be there all day for him to check out all those demos Re: HIA Expo 2010 Been there than that! 14Apr 13, 2010 6:03 pm I went on Sunday; there were waaaaaay too many people for my liking (not to mention numerous bored children causing havoc- poor things!) and I agree about the overrepresentation of glaziers. Anyway, I bought two of those mop thingies (for the price of one) but my best bargain was a mailbox which I bought from a lovely lady whose company is in Dandenong (can't remember the name). It was pretty cheap plus I don't have to pick it up until my house it done (which will be about 6 months). That's one item crossed off the list of "miscelaneous things to buy" Don't know if I'd bother going next year as I've been to only a couple of "home shows" now and they all seem to have the same things!
