I forget how to post pictures.Maybe later. Re: Just for show? - Outdoor fireplaces and water features? 12Sep 12, 2007 7:52 am I'd love an pizza oven - there is one in the tentitive plans for the back yard at the back of the alfresco area cause they do really really get hot and in summer I'd like to be able to still use it but without turning the outdoor area into a sauna! ....
I do like water features as well but I'm concerned as to how noisy they can be ... I think we'll get a lap pool instead and I'll call that our water feature Fiona Re: Just for show? - Outdoor fireplaces and water features? 13Sep 12, 2007 8:49 am When we eventually build I would love to have a fireplace in my alfresco - so then we can utilise the outdoors even in winter.

Re: Just for show? - Outdoor fireplaces and water features? 18Sep 16, 2007 9:52 am Well, we don't have either, and no concrete plans for either.
I would like some sort of water feature - like a back-lit pane of glass with some water flowing over it, but then there's the water restrictions, the mainenance (chemicals, cleaning, etc) and is it worth the expense? I don't think I'd bother with an outdoor fireplace - where do you store the wood? How often would you use it? Maybe a patio heater instead at some later stage. Ray.
