Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 01, 2010 7:02 am Hey Guys In need of some information, My garage wall is built right on the boundary - and it is Limestone facebrick. The problem is the neighbours have a garden bed there side ( im not sure why coz theres only sand there and no sun gets to it ) and there sprinklers face the brickwork. Thus making a very damp black looking stain on our side. I would like to Waterproof there side, but not sure if they would like the bitumen look ( its only about 2m sq section ) Do I have a any rights to do this? Also what are some products that can fix my problem cheers Re: Waterproofing a parapet wall on the Neighbours side 2Apr 01, 2010 8:15 am We had this problem although from the opposite side. The neighbours complained of a damp look and smell in their garage. Their floor was about 2 under our soil level (sloping block) We dug a 2ft deep channel all along our side of their garage wall and laid aggi pipe, filled up with screening, then soil on the last couple of inches. Hooked the aggi pipe up to an existing drain and never heard about it again. I think it would be advisable to quietly discuss this problem with them and ask what solution you could come up with. Agree, Riviera from Clarendon looks beautiful. I've seen one with a light-colored bricks and just a bit of molding (in my neighborhood). It's definitely overpriced.
