I am in the process of extending our house and I'm replacing the existing tiled roof with a new zincalume one. My question is how do I tie down the existing roof frame? I have searched pretty thoroughly and am struggling to find an answer. New roof frame has strapping attached to the brickwork but strapping is not installed in existing part of the house. I suspect the weight of the tiles negated the need.
