Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 29, 2010 1:30 pm My husband informed me the other day that we pay a $2k bond to our developer that we get back once we have landscaped the front to their approval (including wing fences). It also includes ensuring rubbish is removed etc. I'd never heard of it before, but I guess it's not a bad idea to get people off their bums and getting it done. Do most developers expect this? Thats right Kek...our was 5K and I was very happy to pay it The fact that most houses in the estate have really nice gardens makes it such a nice place to live. 5K after you build is like winning a small lottery....it really does pay for those final touches that you may have had to wait for a year to get...like blinds Also, it makes sure that people paint/design their homes the way it was on the plans....5k is a great incentive for home owners to actually do the right thing.
