ANYONE WITH QUESTIONS?

Thank you for your imput....your a gem I feel a little better now and don't feel like I am making a major mistake....
Hubby said go white with a black top it is easy and looks good (this coming from a collingwood supporter!) but I told him that that was not what I wanted, I like browns damnit!! (Hawthorn supporter here, but I will not be going with yellow benchtops ......well maybe the ensuite.. . )
Anyways enough of that....

Think I will go for kicks the same colour as base too, will make Hubby happy, he wasnt convinced about the silver.

So another question.... would floor tiles in bath/ensuite be a colour the same as cabinets or a lighter shade? (bath/ensuite cab were the lustrous elm)

A word of advice. DO NOT go to Bunnings to buy sample pots. Or rather, do not use sample pots tinted using manual colour tinting. Go to a proper paint place with an electronic tint machine and have them tint the sample pot. Plus, you will also find a paint place sample pots will be cheaper!

We stupidly decided on a colour based on a Bunnings pot and went and bought 10 litres of colour. Colour was nothing like the sample, much darker. So back to buy another 10 litres of white to lighten and get the colour we wanted.

Ever tried decanting, mixing then dividing 20 litres of paint, be very careful

Wall tiles... haven't thought of them as yet. Possibly a lightish brown, maybe white??? I haven't looked at wall tiles yet. However I think the wall paint may be 'wattyl creamy natural'

Well I have heard some good ones about out Bunning’s here in Nowra!

We've been longing to ask your opinion on our colour choices but we didn't have the time before... now we have it, so here they are:

We like a shade of brown, green (esp. olive green), lavender and orange in our house. As much as possible, we'd like to be neutral (brown and creme, but never white) and use feature walls, furnishings, etc. to use green, lavender and orange.

We are about to do our colour selection next week (we're building a double-storey M house) and we hope to get your opinion as to whether they are good or not:

- For the benchtops (kitchen, powder, ensuite and bath), we like Caesarstone's MINK (or Sage). It looks like an olive green/brown combination. We haven't decided the colour of the glass splashback yet... but we've seen a display home where they used MINK and the colour of the splashback is in the shade of olive green too. Can you suggest a colour?

- floor tiles - porcelain - 450x450 Harmony Chocolate from Beaumont
- wall tiles to wet area - Sequenza white satin or damask (not yet sure, or the Luxe Creme, all from Beaumont
we also have accent tiles in shades of brown and green (Discovery small square chocolate and the Mirage Sage)

- powder room benchtop - Laminex Kashmir Granite

- cupboards - none yet, any suggestion?

- internal walls - olivine (is it better to have a different colour for the doors and skirtings?) normally, in their display homes, they use same colour but the skirtings and doors have glossy finish)

- Roof tile, we have no choice but to choose a mid-to-dark gray shade (design requirement by land developer), so we would go for the Bristile Charcoal or Char Grey

- window frames - for the front, all timber; for the sides and rear, aluminum - slate grey

- garage door - timber-look (no shade yet, any suggestion?)

- gutters - Woodland Grey (looks a bit olive green, right?)

- facia - Colorbond surfmist or dune

- bricks - we might go for either Austral's Newport or Hawthorn (but if it's Hawthorn, the slate grey window frames (rear) might be too dark?) or Boral's La Mesa (from Elan series). Wonder which brick is better in terms of quality

“Mink” and “Sage’ are two very different colours, I personally like the “Sage”
What colour are your cupbards????

Yes, but you wont notice it too much on the gutters.

Facias.... I usually like to do thame as the gutters!

I don’t have any of the Bristol colours in my office!!!

I’ll try their website; maybe it will have colour samples like the rest.

The Hawthorn brick is very dark, so you will have to watch what selections you choose with it.

The Newport is more of a neutral colour……most selections will go whit this one.
Can’t help you with quality….a brick is a brick….not too much difference!

Stone Patino....it’s closest to the oil shale on the fan deck also!

Can you give me the colour numbers….codes?
