I had to wait a while for the quote as the guy was very busy. I am not sure if this is a good price because I have not got a quote for a brick wall yet. FWIW we've got something like 25+meters of wall to be done, and our builder reckoned it would cost about $20,000 in brick. So he suggested the modular wall solution. But since we are many months away from doing the wall, I never got around to asking for quotations yet. Re: Modular walls/fences - prices? 9Aug 14, 2010 10:57 am suh - your backyard looks so good... btw who did build that covered area for you? is that a similar product to the modular walls - I'm thinking to put something similar in our backyard and not sure what to use... You must be very happy with the end result. Treated pine internals clad in blue board and then painted with texture paint Unless you saw it being built you wouldn't pick it as not being a brick rendered fence. The General is Suh's chinese warrior statue in case you are wondering LOL. Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Modular walls/fences - prices? 18Aug 15, 2010 12:16 am Suh, that is indeed a gorgeous backyard. May I know how you came about designing it? Did you engage a landscape designer, or just a landscaper + your instructions, or .... We are unsure what we should do with our (future) backyard. Re: Modular walls/fences - prices? 19Aug 16, 2010 2:27 pm I'm the topic of conversation thank goodness kyton is here to answer your questions My DH knew the type of garden design he wanted and the materials to be used, he drew up a rough sketch and discussed it with the landscapers as they went along. We had a plant person tell us the type of plants to use and how to place them and we found a photo in a magazine similar to our "hut" and had that built by a carpenter. The front yard is equally as divine no use being modest we have sandstone retaining walls everywhere and they're beautiful. I am thinking to talk with a landscaping comp in Perth and get both my backyard and front yard designed - I'll get the designed priced and if not affordable I might attempt to organise it myself in stages... at least we will have the design done... anybody here has some other ideas???
