Can anyone tell me if there are;
standard drawer or cupboard sizes (widths) for vanities / kitchen benches (cutlery versus pot drawers)
parameters for standard height off the ground for benchtops (i think this can vary depending on how tall you are etc).
standard height of kickboards ; is there one?
standard width of benchtops for kitchen and bathrooms
I basically have free range to design the kitchen and vanities and was unsure if i should just divide the total length of the benchtop by the number of cabinets / drawers we want. This seemed like a very naive way to design cabinets though so I thought I would ask the experts!
Are we Crazy? yeah probably!

Hi Helen, check out these two websites:
regarding kitchen design.
Others will probably let you know what the standard measurements are, but I did my own pot drawers, some 1000mm and some around 700cm, and went for 900mm island bench.

I don't know if there are standards sizes (I presume there is an industry standard but would imagine even that has variation in it.)
We designed our kitchen from scratch and didn't use standard sizes. We just went with what worked in terms of getting the most out of the space we had.
