Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 02, 2010 8:50 pm We are having a linen cupboard without doors It's at the end of the laundry and a fairly decent size. I'm hoping it will look ok altho it will only be 'us' that will see it, but I want it to look smart I guess it's not rocket science, we can only really have adjustable shelving of different dimensions I guess - just wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas for this storage space or will I just do the 'norm' I will possibly store other bits & pieces there as well Just thought I'd ask Jazz Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Re: Doorless linen cupboard? 2Mar 03, 2010 10:48 am Wow that is brave! I'd be using something like seagrass baskets for the small fiddly things so it doesn't look like a knick-knack shop. But otherwise - nicely folded towels etc could look really smart After 4 years - we're in! Re: Doorless linen cupboard? 4Mar 03, 2010 12:48 pm do you have infants or young kids, or are you planning on them? cause that would be a bad idea from my experience i have a 2 year old ghost running around regularly with different coloured sheets! and ours has doors! Re: Doorless linen cupboard? 5Mar 03, 2010 5:27 pm We're having the same - open WIL in the laundry - my aunty mentioned that we should have our dryer ducted outside/in the roof space otherwise the linen may become moist/damp from the condensation that the dryer creates and then go mouldy I never would have thought of this - so I'm contemplating putting a cavity slider in there! But I like the idea of baskets on the shelves! I LURVE baskets! So now I have an excuse to buy more! Of all places without a door, I wouldn't want a linen cupboard without a door. The laundry is a long room off the kitchen (linen press at end of the room on one side) so not visible unless you walk down there. The overheads, benchtops & cupboards have been installed & look great. Builder has now asked us to give him an idea of the shelving we want now I don't think we've made the wrong decision as I've had a huge clean out with the intention of not hoarding I don't have a dryer & won't be buying one so we won't have any problems there. I like the idea of the baskets & will just have to keep it tidy Jazzie Life is like a lolly, suck it and see Do you really want to accommodate the window? What is on the outside of the window?
