Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 12, 2007 6:40 pm This might sound like an ad but we have recently had our roof restored by a company called CPR Roofing at Gladesville and I wanted to recommend them to anyone considering this utterly confusing job of how to go about it.
We have recieved regular phone calls for I'd say over 20 years from companies wanting to paint our roof tiles. Now having decided it was something we should do, mainly because of some obvious maintenance around the ridge tiles and a sudden leak, we set out to get some quotes and advice. This proved to be a painfull process and we would have shelved the idea because of the pressure salesmen that were sent to see us but it had to be fixed. There is no reason to paint a tiled roof, unless you want to change the colour. We had the same type of scammers (not saying that the above company are scammers), knocking on our door offering to paint and repair the roof. When I questioned them to show me the damage and why it should be painted, they quickly ran away.
