Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 15, 2010 7:27 am Hi everyone, we are on the hunt for Furniture Stores in Melbourne, in days of old there used to be companies such as Guests Furniture which had Lounge Suites on Display all set up etc. I have tried Berkowitz and Freedom but am after something similar that sells sets (not Fantastic Furniture) and am after traditional furniture that will not date. I hope that makes sense. Re: Furniture Shops in Melbourne 2Feb 15, 2010 8:18 am Are you after furniture for the whole house? We found some great bedroom packages at Focus On Furniture out at Essendon DFO. Re: Furniture Shops in Melbourne 4Feb 15, 2010 4:29 pm Hello Riss, I suggest you can check out those furniture stores along Dandenong/Frankston Road (off the princess highway). There are a whole bunch of furniture stores clustered together and their prices are really competitive. I am from the Western Suburbs and manage to score quite a good deal there when I was looking for a couple of couch. To put it in perspective, I got a 3 seater and a 2 seater all in leather where 4 of them are recliners for $2200. =-) I was quite happy with that deal and thought it was bloody awesome. lol So may be try and head that way to see whether you can see anything that you like. Re: Furniture Shops in Melbourne 5Feb 16, 2010 1:50 pm Yep, we bought alot of our living room stuff at FocusOn Furniture, good price and style. Defintaely worth a look. we got our dining table and chairs and coffee table from there now im saving for our couch from there! 2nd build here we come in Whittlesea! https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=92617 1st Build - Henley - Cooper in Doreen! We found a bed suite there that is sold at another larger company also. Exactly the same product...cannot spot a difference other than the price. At Focus we are going to pay $2800 with 5 year structural warranty, compared to $4300 at the bigger company with 12 months warranty. Our $800 deposit for the $4300 bed is now going to go towards a mattress and yes we went back to Focus and placed a deposit on a new bed suite. Bad customer I know, but 1.5k difference is a lot! Also went to MJ Collins. Been eyeing off a dining table there for a few weeks and yesterday went back and put a deposit for the Tazzie oak dining table, 8 leather chairs and a buffet. Rose looked after us well and I highly recommend them! I do enjoy the drama:-D In his latest two videos he has started bringing security guards to site, I am waiting for the punch on to begin lol 6 45554 It's all about wireless, self install now. The cost/benefit of wired setups for the house are no longer what they used to be. Lots of wireless options.
