Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 13, 2010 8:05 am Well the slab went down for our shed last week and i am getting very excited at the thought of my double garage (attached to the house) finally getting a clean out. I have always wondered, is it only men who love sheds or are there plenty of women out there who love a good shed too?? I can't wait for it to be built. Here are some pics of the slab going down Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Re: His Shed Or Her Shed??? 2Feb 13, 2010 11:18 am I like sheds.... because it hides all of his stuff Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! Its where I undertake projects around the home and where I do a lot of planning and thinking, a sort of men only sanctuary. Its where I go to watch TV with the dog and have a beer with the mates without being nagged. I love my shed. Arfur Re: His Shed Or Her Shed??? 6Feb 13, 2010 5:55 pm I love my shed. Is that Classic Cream with Monument as the colours, because if so that is what we are having too? Even our roller door and pers door will be the same too. I will have to show hubby tonight when he gets home from work. What size is your shed? How big is yours going to be? Re: His Shed Or Her Shed??? 10Feb 15, 2010 4:10 pm I don’t share my shed/garage with anyone, and never have! Re: His Shed Or Her Shed??? 15Feb 16, 2010 5:51 pm Thanks, it took as long to build as a house - 4 months - every night and every weekend hubby and I doing it all ourselves. We moved in 3 months ago, with our house only just due to start next week, I figure we have saved at least $4K in rent with plenty more savings to come. Re: His Shed Or Her Shed??? 18Feb 17, 2010 8:53 pm I'm also looking at the < 10 m2 option to avoid council's approval being needed, particularly since I've thought of placing it over our easement, using removable concrete pavers as the floor, and only having cement where needed for holding the shed down. Has anyone done this, or can offer suggestions? (The removable concrete pavers idea comes from keks wonderful suggestions in the thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28414&p=411820) Pfiff Finally making progress again, with a clothesline (yippee) and some much needed little things being attended to over the holidays. 40 C on New Year's eve? I think it is going to be all finished today. We will have some organizing to do tomorrow. I think Hubby wants to sleep in there tonight but i told him i was going first, at least i might get to sleep in for a change. We were so lucky that my next door neighbour's Son In-Law is visiting for a few days holiday (no more rest for him) because once i got wind of him being a Shed Builder i could not help but ask if he wanted to do a little (well maybe not little) job. Otherwise we were not going to get it built for another 4 weeks or so. He came up here from the Sunshine Coast to have a quiet time and got nothing close to that let me tell you. So if anyone is looking for a great shed builder on the Sunny Coast Qld, just PM me and i will point you in the right direction. http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x185/kimt05/004-2.jpg http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x185/kimt05/006.jpg This is my DH standing in the corner of the above shot, just watching.
