Just finished Building whoo hoo!!! yesterday we signed off and accepted the property and received and faxed off today the authorisation for the bank to make final payments. we now have to wait.... how long does this process usually take? we have been told that the bank has to value the property and then issue final payment. sometimes it can take as long as 10 days yikes!!!!!! As you can imagine we are so excited and have a list of tradies ready to go in to complete!! we are really under pressure! any body got any experience or advice they could give.. really appreciative. the last 6 weeks hve been the longest of my life i tell ya! Sarah Building in baldivis Re: how long until keys - final payment authorised. 2Feb 11, 2010 4:24 pm Hey sarahc I guess it depends on your bank and how quickly they can do things. My letter from Keystart says "please allow at least a week" for them to do the inspection and process the payment. Some can do it in a few days I would pressume, give it at least 3 days then call your builder's accounts department, they would be able to tell you if the payment has been received. If not, maybe call the bank/lender just to see how it's going... I'm sure they get those phone calls all the time Good luck! Built with New Generation (Summit Homes) We own land!... with a slab on it! Plus a shell of a house with stuff inside ! regardless, your contract stipulates a payments schedule and SOPA doesn't give provision to that scenario. Your contractual terms appear to stand. Hence get a lawyer, it… 4 8964 of course there are legal avenues. You've already mentioned it. Sue them. I find it odd that lawyers wouldnt be willing to take on the case, given CCT evidence and… 1 14686 nothing to do with salespeole. you'd do well to read and ccomprehend the post before bashing away at the keys with some negative comment again. 4 5063 |
