Hi Forum,
Last week I supplied intercom system to my builder electrician and the electrician installed the stuff. I took a photo after installation. Yesterday, my SS informed me, the electrician has stolen the intercom system
I told my SS to claim the insurance however, he advise me, this item is not insured!
I read through the HIA building contract which I have signed with my builder and found a clause -
The builder must insure against:
(a) “loss or damage to the building works and any goods and materials on the site relating to the building works against theft, fire, explosion, lighting, hail, storm and tempest, vandalism, civil commotion and earthquake”.
Please advise.
Cheers!
