Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 05, 2007 9:53 am My new house is at the fixing stage, the house is build on a very steep incline, when we were at frame stage the building manager indicated that someone in the process of deciding where on the block the house should be build made a mistake, as we left the dicision up to them ,he told us that the company would have to take care of our problem of access to our garages as the incline meant that the garage slab is about 20cm higher than the ground level, the area around the garage needs to be build up so that a u- turn can be made. The house door also opens up to a fall which need stairs and retaining wall as the fasade pillars are basically hanging partially in the air, at the beginning the site supervisor agreed it was their mistake in calculating the wrong depth, and spot in building the house . Now he has informed me that the company might want us to chip in for 50% of the cost as it is higher than they exspected. Any advice Re: Problems need advice 2Aug 05, 2007 2:49 pm franatbay,

Do you have it in writing? They made amistake etc.... If not - I'd sit down and document the date and times you chatted about the issue with who etc, so you have some trace of events to show them. Good luck. I am not a brick expert, but rendering would be 1 option, it would be costly to do the entire house though.... 2 6683 Hi all, has anyone been ask to do the weeds in their property while in the middle of build?
