Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 30, 2010 12:34 pm I would love to hear or see some pictures of those who have installed glass sliding wardrobe doors. I have been doing some googling and have come across a new range from Stegbar called Aurora. From what ive read its just like the glass spashbacks that are very trending in kitchens now days. http://www.auroraglass.com.au/wardrobe-doors/ Ive called 2 different stegbar showrooms and either sales person was able to help. Its seems that the sales people dont know alot about them nor do they have the this type of wardrobe door in there showroom. And to make it even harder the website doesn't have any photographs only drawings/sketches. What do you think of the glass wardrobe door concept? its it a bit overboard and should be left just for the kitchen? Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 2Jan 30, 2010 1:26 pm I'm sure it would look fantastic - but I don't think I'd like the price tag. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 3Jan 30, 2010 1:53 pm They look awesome but as Kek said the price won't be nice. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 8Jan 30, 2010 9:02 pm Nic_s Very nice Suh, Where did you get them from? I grow up in Newcastle so i know the place well. We got them through Nova Shower Screens (am I allowed to say that ). I searched everywhere for them because I had seen a much more expensive brand identical to these and wanted them but not the price tag. These guys were the only ones I could find. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 9Jan 30, 2010 9:09 pm These are definitely something we will look into at some stage if ever we can afford to. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 10Feb 01, 2010 1:56 am My parents had this when I was growing up, and I recently thought they were very outdated because my parents used to have them That was until I bought my house! The main bedroom has glass sliding wardrobe doors and I love them!! Because I bought the house and didn't install them myself, I don't know the cost or where they came from, but thought I'd share a picture anyway The photo was taken before I bought it, so that is the previous owners bedroom stuff. (Similar wardrobe size to the one in Katie81 photo). $1980 + GST (including installation) This doesn't include the internals just the doors. Quotes for the internals for a wardrobe that size are around $2000 to $2500 + GST. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 12Feb 04, 2010 3:23 pm Wow that's some pricey wardrobe! Behind the middle door of mine, contains built in drawers and shelves, then the end two sections have 2 levels of hanging space, plus the entire top has a large section for storage space. Probably would have been quite costly to install if they went through a business. Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 13Feb 04, 2010 7:20 pm Unfortunately we have 2 pillars on the wall where the wardrobes are to be placed so we have no choice but to go custom made... If anyone has any more pics they would like to share I would love to see them... Cheers! Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 14Feb 26, 2010 8:07 pm Ok so ive been researching black glass sliding wardrobe doors... Ive found some pics.. What do you all think? Is black too much for the bedroom, should a be a little bit concerned with the dark glass, finger marks and dust collecting.. Is it likely to date much quicker than white? Would love to hear all your thoughts.. How do i post pics.. i get an error message 'sorry the board attachement quota has been reached' Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 15Feb 26, 2010 9:01 pm Nic_s How do i post pics.. i get an error message 'sorry the board attachement quota has been reached' You need to upload them to a photo site like photobucket, start up an account with them it't free and the upload pics to there, resize pic if needed, copy the code and paste it here ____________________________ Bec ____________________________ Building our Balinese Resort Inspired Dream Home Blog ~ http://hagarshouse.blogspot.com/ Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 17Feb 26, 2010 9:39 pm Nic_s Thanks Bec. So once i setup a photobucket account and upload the photos i click get link code and copy and paste into the 'filename' box? Usually after I have uploaded my pics to photobucket, I go back to the album page (in Photobucket) and under the pic there are 4 code options under each other one says IMG Code, copy this code and then just do a normal post here and 'paste' the code and when you submit your post it will convert it to the picture. I hope that makes sence ____________________________ Bec ____________________________ Building our Balinese Resort Inspired Dream Home Blog ~ http://hagarshouse.blogspot.com/ Re: Glass sliding wardrobe doors 20Feb 28, 2010 4:42 pm These are the ones we have: Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ I like them over the ones katie81 has as the frames are a bit more invisible After 4 years - we're in! we have a standard size and often we have a lot of variety to choose 0 3575 We are looking for sliding doors which are 5 metres tall.
