Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Where do you iron? 41Feb 02, 2010 10:58 am I'm about to start mine it's so humid, hmmmmmmm maybe a little air conditioning just for an hour wouldn't hurt, just while I iron ... maybe two hours ..... BUT don't tell DH, he'll go then (lecture) last electricity bill was HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!!!! Re: Where do you iron? 42Feb 02, 2010 11:03 am I can't believe the amount of people who DON'T iron. I am definately not the most domesticated person on the planet, but even I find that I must iron my clothes. No not the undies though. Most of the clothes I wash end up severely wrinkled and a flick is not going to work. It's my son's clothes that take forever, he has so many t-shirts!!! Contracted completion date 24 July 2010. What's today's date????? Re: Where do you iron? 43Feb 02, 2010 11:07 am kek Now I'm off to Bunnings and Store in search of these: And maybe some more of these: I may not have my extra laundry cabinets in yet, but I can still be better organised.... Hey Kek can you let me know how much these cost? I need to get something like that too! 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' Howard's Storage World has the broom/vac caddy thing for $12.95 http://shop.hsw.com.au/?product&id_prod=648&id_cat=3&id_dept=12 I don't know if I'll find an ironing board hanger like that one - every one I've seen has a spot for the iron too, which I don't want. I have a cupboard for my iron.... Maybe just a general storage hook will do. Re: Where do you iron? 45Feb 02, 2010 11:24 am kek I haven't gone yet. There is a Howards Storage world at Vic Gardens, nice and handy to work, although normally a bit exey 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.' I don't have a portable ironing board so I guess it might be cheaper to install one in the laundry then buy a portable one... hmm Re: Where do you iron? 47Feb 02, 2010 12:58 pm This what I want: If HSW has one, let me know, would you Lisa? My husband works near Melbourne Central, so he could pick one up. Store was no use, all theirs were the caddy type, with space for iron and sprays etc. I did find a broom hanger though - that's going inside the broom cupboard. I'm fed up with everything being in a jumble in there. I also got a folding ironing hanger that takes up next to no space when you're not using it. I think the designers intend them for apartments and places where space is tight and compromise is necessary, but a full-sized one would be nice.
