Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 26, 2010 6:11 pm Hey homeone'ers! I was just checking the reward points on my visa card, and I've got enough points to get a Dyson DC23 Motorhead for $499+my reward points. Just wondering what the best price people have seen these for in-store or online? Also, is it worth going for the Motorhead when I'm only going to use the hard floor tool (we've got timber floors throughout, no carpets). Re: How much did you pay for your Dyson? 4Jan 26, 2010 6:38 pm Hey Fernyhouse, I should have mentioned that I'd like the HEPA filter as we do have a dog inside, and I have asthma. So I think we need either the DC23 Turbine, DC23 Turbine Plus, or DC23 Motorhead. Looking on the Dyson site, it seems the only difference between the three is the attachments? And if that's the case I could go with a cheaper one and the hard floor tool Re: How much did you pay for your Dyson? 5Feb 01, 2010 6:46 pm DC23 Turbine was on sale at Harvey Norman for $599 for their vacuum cleaner sale. Ends 7 Feb I think. http://harveynorman.dynamiccatalogue.com.au/portal/offerdetails/dyson-dc23-turbine-vacuum-cleaner/12629191295216?CatalogueID=12626474633073&No=15&Nner=15&tab=list&Ns=OfferOnPage%7C0&source=productlist Re: How much did you pay for your Dyson? 6Mar 01, 2010 9:51 am I bought a DC14 on sale at the Good Guys for $450.. it was $699 so I'm pretty happy with that. But it's so worth it I was prepared to pay $699 because of the quality. Re: How much did you pay for your Dyson? 7Mar 02, 2010 9:06 am just compare the dysons with the price of the kirbys! gosh we borrowed a friends several thousand dollar kirby to shampoo our carpets over the weekend, its very shiny but i dont think i could justify paying close to what i paid for my runabout car for a vacuum cleaner! Re: How much did you pay for your Dyson? 8Mar 02, 2010 10:23 am I use my CC for all work expenses so I collect around 100,000 points a year. I just figure out how much in cash I can redeem with the said amount of points, and then work out if I am better off using my cash to go to a shop to buy the item or go down the route of using my point. Our house thread: https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=18335 Hi Mofflepop, I would recommend finding a building designer to prepare plans, they should design to your specified budget.
