Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 17, 2010 12:24 pm hi just been down to the house as p.c.i is due next, and when i got there the painter was there doing touch ups. so i went in and had a look around. i noticed the pantry door is warped , i have 2 doors for the pantry and they should sit flush to eachother when closed. 1 door is warped roughly 1 inch. what would have caused this ? looks like they will have to put a new door in. also noticed the soap/shampoo holder is not sitting level when tiled in. so to fix this they would have to remove tiles and redo the holders, it is realy annoying, so would you expect the builder to fix it, or would you let it slide. surely they would fix if i ask.. Re: internal door warped............ 2Jan 17, 2010 2:34 pm What do you mean by warped?? Do you mean there's a gap between the two cupboard panels? If thats what you mean, then it probably just needs to be adjusted. If its one inch though, Id be inclined to say that possibly the hinge hasnt been put on correctly My hubby has a machine which drills hinge holes though, which I assume most arge cabinet makers would have too, so I dont know how they would have got it wrong Guess it depends what you mean by warped... And Im imagining slippery soap falling of its holder Custom European Cabinets - Melbourne Kitchen Specialist PM for business details as website currently being updated! If you mean that the pantry has standard doors on then there should not be more than 5mm difference between the faces of the doors when closed. This would equate to a replacement door. However, if you mean that the doors are cabinet style doors from your cabinet maker then the hinges could be missaligned or a screw may have come loose allowing the hinge to move. This option is an easy fix as Bam suggested.
