You'd hear the sound of it more than if it was on the other side of the pool and they have the best pool shape as well. Re: Which pool design do you DISLIKE the most? (pic heavy) 22Jan 15, 2010 9:40 am Great, thanks for your help Suh Did you raise your cabana area after your built or was it all approved before? DA approved Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. Re: Which pool design do you DISLIKE the most? (pic heavy) 23Jan 15, 2010 2:41 pm Ooooh I'm so green with envy right now Suh, your pool area/cabana is DIVINE!!!! Who'd want to go inside when you can sit out there! Then again, your kitchen is pretty damn nice too so maybe head in for a cool drink and nibbles, drool at the kitchen, then back outside again? Back to original question - #1 was my fave until Suh poined out about #3 which I think is a good idea. So #3 then #1 for me! No wait, original question was which do we DISLIKE... I'd say #4 then, those bits that jut out just scream waste of swimming space to me! Re: Which pool design do you DISLIKE the most? (pic heavy) 24Jan 20, 2010 9:34 pm Thanks for all your gelp guys. I will be going with the option 1/3 and then decide where to put the 'jets'. Got a few quotes and they are ranging a from lowest to highest quite a fair bit (17k) so havent decided which company just yet. Just a quick question everyone thinks Im silly for going 1.2m in shallow end and 1.9 in deep end. The dimensions will be 7m long, 3.4m wide at the smaller width and 5m wide at larger width. Other than a children friendly pool why not go deeper if I want? (in your oppinion). Also the little extra bit of the pool will be 0.60 ledge and stair area. (pic heavy) 25Jan 21, 2010 2:50 pm Our pool is currently being built but because we have small children we chose to have each end 1.1m deep and the deepest section in the centre at 1.9m (we also have a large shallow beach area at one end and then a large step at the other end). This way you can also play games like pool volleyball without someone drowning / treading water in the deep end Some things are worth waiting for. Re: Which pool design do you DISLIKE the most? (pic heavy) 26Jan 21, 2010 3:15 pm I think I like one the best... but what I would do (if I had endless amounts of money and if council bylaws permit) would be to take the frameless glass away if possible, make the cabana not so high up, and beside that, instead of having the fountains that sit inside the pool, I would have three underwater "chairs". So essentially a swim up bar... that way the sunbakers can relax with the swimmers and it would all be very social Dam, I really wish I could do that to my pool now lol. Funny you say that but we are definately doing away with the balustrade around the cabana and not making it high up like that (actually saving money there!)...not sure bout the underwater chairs hehe even if they were free lol. Kyton we wanted the deepest part to be in the middle too! But we were advised 7m or so is no long enough for it to work properly and we didnt wanto add more length instead make it wider. Ours is 13m by 5m so that may be why it will work in our case. Yeh definately needs to be longer so yours will be perfect! DA approved Waiting on a few more Builder's quotes. Firstly, if your house is still under builder's warranty (10 years in Victoria) you should have no need to crawl into roof space but let the builder handle it, unless you… 3 5699 What size are the windows, double or single glazed, can I have a pic of the full windows inside & out? If you can see packers please take a pic. 1 12449 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 5905 |
