Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 07, 2010 1:24 pm Hi Guys, First post so hope im in the right spot. I have an double brick wall under one of the ends of my patio that isnt council approved. The wall doesnt hold the patio up but is connected to the tin sheeting that forms the patio. the patio is council approved. I would like to get the wall structural certified by an engineer. The wall itself was an addition to the house and only appears to be connected to the house with concrete, which appear appears to be seperating at the join. I am unsure if there are any ties in there or other connecting implements. Before i pay for someone to come look at it, can anyone suggest a way to either check if there is ties or advise a way where i can put the wall in the best condition for certification. Please feel free to tell me i am flogging a dead horse.
