Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 29, 2009 9:01 pm I was watching one of my many design type shows...again! I noticed they put sliding wardrobe doors on that hung form the top. Has anyone had any experience doing this, and is it hard? I would love to do this in my 2nd bedroom as would help with the placement of furniture. Re: DYI sliding wardrobe doors 4Dec 30, 2009 8:47 am My mum has them in her laundry and we have them in our kitchen (doors leading into the kitchen, not cupboard doors). MY main annoyance with them is that they swing outwards as well as sideways on their tracks... So if we've closed the door to the kitchen, our dog just uses it as a doggy flap and runs straight through. Perhaps newer versions have sorted this problem though..? Had a top rail kit which i cut down, ordered piece of MDF cut to my measurement with a route on the base so it sat on the guide and didn't swing. Wasn't expensive then i just painted them the same colour as the rest of the doors in the house.
