Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 17, 2009 2:41 pm Hi, Our mortgage broker has told us that the bank are after our FHO boost addendum and Principal place of resident paperwork. We haven't heard of these forms and didn't fill them out when we did all our other loan stuff and FHO stuff (a few months ago - we currently have the land mortgage and have site start for our build this month). The mortgage broker says our solicitor should have organised it and our solicitor says the mortgage broker should have organised it. Whose job is it to advise us of these forms? The mortgage broker or solicitor? Cheers! Re: FHOG boost addendum not completed AGHH!!! 2Dec 17, 2009 2:53 pm Hi jem This happened to us too. Our bank was supposed to provide all these forms, however they were useless when it came to anything regarding the FHOG & boost. We ended up printing out all the forms required from the web and doing it ourselves. Good luck Re: FHOG boost addendum not completed AGHH!!! 3Dec 17, 2009 3:28 pm the responsibility for lodging the documents rest on the bank as they are the "approved agents" as defined by SRO. you should claim against the bank for negligence, restitution should comprise outstanding debit interest against the amount of FHOG entitled and probably the application fee for the loan as they have not exercised their duty of care. if the bank does not budge, refer it to the banking ombudsman. jem Hi, Our mortgage broker has told us that the bank are after our FHO boost addendum and Principal place of resident paperwork. There doesn't seem much point in pursuing this line of action as the FHOG doesn't even get paid til after the first progress payment if you lodge through an approved agent (which doesn't appear to have happened if site works haven't even started). Re: FHOG boost addendum not completed AGHH!!! 6Dec 17, 2009 6:14 pm ha missed that little detail, SRo states the claim will be paid at the first progress payment, thus anytime after that is "penalty time". poppamatic nietzche the responsibility for lodging the documents rest on the bank as they are the "approved agents" as defined by SRO. you should claim against the bank for negligence, restitution should comprise outstanding debit interest against the amount of FHOG entitled and probably the application fee for the loan as they have not exercised their duty of care. if the bank does not budge, refer it to the banking ombudsman.
