Cut a new opening to suit your wall plate, and use a coathanger bent to a hook to locate the cable if it's not directly in front of you. May sure you turn off the power before fishing around with the coat hanger, as not all power points are completely sealed. If it's an internal wall you are probably getting hung up on the noggin. Drilling a new hole with an extension bit is the best way, but you may need a weighed string to get through the hole, then pull the cable through. An old plumb bob works well. I would recommend against running your antenna cable down the wall alongside an electrical cable as it's an easy way to introduce interference. I'd run them seperately, then bring them closer together at the wall point. DIY, Home Maintenance & Repair Are you doing this with a building permit?
