Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 14, 2009 9:16 pm Hoping someone might be able to tell me about site costs in South Yunderup?? We have bought a 2003sqm block opposite the canals which we were told was an M Class site however the developer has dug out a building envelope so think all should be ok but am worried about builder trying to rip us off. If anyone can give me any information I would be most grateful! Re: South Yunderup Site Works 2Dec 23, 2009 3:50 pm what information do you need? I work for a builder and i'm not sure if you are already talking to us, but if i can help out in any way i'm more than happy to. If you prefer to talk via phone or email let me know and if need be, happy to meet out on your block and discuss the options available - i assure you the advice i offer will be up front and honest with no intention of trying to sell to you. cheers Jay Re: South Yunderup Site Works 3Dec 30, 2009 10:07 am I was hoping someone may be building there - M Class footings apparently cost $40-50K? This freaked us out of course. We are talking to a builder at the moment and have also been told that $40-50K is crazy by someone who built a few years ago with a different builder. Conflicting reports are a worry so I am paying for an engineers report and site survey to try to clarify the situation asap. Re: South Yunderup Site Works 4Dec 30, 2009 12:01 pm Definitely a good move with the SIR and survey. Keep in mind some builders won't allow you to use these unless they've carried them out themselves. Bit of a pain but the benefit is that if anything goes wrong, the onus is on them as they've had the reports done themselves. $40-50k isn't too bad pending what the house size is etc. Have you got a design or floorplan of the home you are wanting to build? I'm not in the office until Monday 4th but can look into homes we have built in south yunderup and give you some figures. Cheers Jay Re: South Yunderup Site Works 5Dec 30, 2009 9:55 pm I do have a floor plan we are keen on - its actually with DA. Its about 286sqm of living so a reasonable size. i am going away for about a month this week but would like to have a chat if thats ok? MBA and HIA both have sub contract agreements, check them out 2 7327 I want to build a bigger driveway (without a nature strip) than has been approved under my CDC. I’ve also had a DA approved to build a deck. It looks like I can do this… 0 4814 Fair Trading can issue orders to rectify and complete but once the matter goes to NCAT these orders are automatically vacated. You will have to terminate contract and sue… 21 29757 |
