Aren't these convenants good for only so long? Our estate is only for 5 years after the Certificate of Occupancy was issued.
Are they enforced by the council or the developer?
Our contract doesn't mention any type of expiry date for ours.

We're in a rental that is alot smaller than our old home and soon to be built home, so we've filled the back shed (thank goodness there is one!) and half the garage. We did have all of it in the shed but when we went to put the Patrol in the garage we found out it didn't fit! My little car fits no worries, but not the 4wd - the garage is too short. What I'm sick of seeing ... revisions of my houseplan! I just want it done already *stamps foot* so we can start talking $$ ~ trying to build our dream home by the sea ~ Re: What are you sick of seeing? 403Aug 30, 2010 5:23 pm Eskay40 Quote: Since when can they tell you what to put on your land?! Are you kidding? They tell you what to put on, what colour it's allowed to be, what plants you can have in your garden and how much of that land you bought you're actually allowed to use!!! - Don't get me started sorry, wrong place for rant... Joles. I understand your point of view, but if it's in my backyard and the fences are up - that's my business. So true! I have last week put my plans into Development Review Committee for them to be approved. They require samples of all colours and materials, detailed garden plans etc etc and I have the priveledge (sp?) of paying quite a bit for this process. Does anyone else have these kinds of things in their estate? I might go and start a new thread on this very topic............ Re: What are you sick of seeing? 404Aug 30, 2010 5:29 pm You guys should be in Dexterredcat's shoes-they are building on 7 acres and their council has asked them to submit a landscaping plan for 7 acres! We had 2 sheds in our last house and no garage! I can get my car in the garage, but no room for Hubby's car at the moment. We also have 4 bikes, lawn mower, trimmer, various garden impliments, shelves full of tools and 'bits', the second fridge, the esky, a cupboard full of other stuff, a shelf full of shoes, a pine shelf I'm halfway through painting and Hubby's beer making gear. If he wants to get his car in, maybe he can put the beer elsewhere! Because I leave last in the morning and get home first at night, I get the garage! I know I only said it yesterday afternoon....but LOOK!!!!! Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ It only took a year, but Hubby's and my car spent their first night together undercover in their own place! There's still a bit of re-organising to do (I can't open the door to the dryer!), but it's a start. ...yeah, yeah, I know...the 'driveway' with weeds looks crap.... In that case, I would be seeking professional quotes and sending them onto the council as well. Well, here we'll have a field, and there we'll have another field. Over there, I'm thinking of a feature field. The poor poppet, that's ridiculous Dear J.K. Rowling, Your books are entirely unrealistic. I mean, a ginger kid with two friends?
