Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 08, 2009 2:08 pm I need some input on the cost of colourbond roofing versus tile per square meter. I have approx. 200 square meters of existing tiled roofing, which I do not need to alter for my extensions. It was restored/repainted about 3 years ago and is structurally sound. I will be adding about another 200 square meters of new roofing. I MUCH prefer colourbond roofing, but need to know if I can afford to replace the lot. Can someone please give me a cost guide per square meter for tiles versus colourbond? Any good roofing contacts also much appreciated. Cheers. Including disposing of old metal roof/metal tiles, chimney flashing, barge capping to ridge and gable ends. Normal pitched roof. Including insulated foil blanket under roof. One quote was $10,600, other $12,600. Both reputable roofing companies. Guy doing some work next door on a new house said he had a mate who would give me a great price - came in at $20,320. Muppet.
