Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Dec 06, 2009 7:55 am Hi everyone Can anyone give me an approx. cost of pool fencing per m (installed). Seamless glass and/or metal tubing (and whatever other options there are). We are looking at a house that has a pool but no fencing and we think we would like to add fencing for safety but have no clue of the cost. Ball park figures are fine - just something to give us an idea. Thanks. Ceeb Re: Cost of pool fencing 2Dec 06, 2009 10:06 am Not sure which part of the country you are in but we recently had 7m of tubular fencing installed for $1200 which included a gate - about $300 just for this. We also installed 5.3m of semi-frameless glass fencing ourselves, cost was $1000. You'll need to shop around, prices differ so much. We live in Melb but our glass fencing was from NSW. Happy at Home Re: Cost of pool fencing 3Dec 06, 2009 1:36 pm we were in the same situation (moved into the house with no pool fence) - we bought 2nd hand fencing, posts 2 or 3 gates off ebay. it was around 40m and more than we required - the plan was to get a tradie to put it up but we had no useful response when we tried to get a quote. In the end we got bought the drill bit and concrete screws and did it ourselves. The fence plus installation purchases were less than $1100 & the fence seller delivered it too! Downside took a bit off time to put up, not perfectly put up, some paint flaking off the fence, Upside was cheaper than new (AFAIK about a third), provides safety required, we can resell it on ebay when we will eventally renovate the pool area. The last home I lived in didn't have a pool and when i went to sell it the agents were not happy, even telling me to put one in to sell the place. The agents weren't happy… 2 4239 Approvals are covered in the cost we are paying to the pool company. The only thing stated in our home build contract for the additional cost is engineering support. … 3 7119 Need to remove glass panel out of concrete without wrecking the glass to get the spa room in, any recommendations on how to do that.
