Geez, and I'm forgetting that our own neighbour also had their plants stolen only a few nights after they planted them in front of the house!! One has to wonder how on earth any of those pretty potted plants in front yards survive the night ... or the small front yard furniture and such ... Neighbours were robbed the other day. Police response was pretty good i thought. I'd never thought people would steal a fence... But till a few weeks ago I didn't think they would steal hot water units either. Keep an eye out for your neighbours I guess. Esp those who haven't moved in yet.. And definately it was right to tell the police. The more reports they get the more patrols they might do etc. Give them the big picture. Hopefully your experience in the estate improves from here on. Friend of mine had been living in his house in Berwick for about a year, vacant block either side of him. Went to bed got up following morning for his usual shower, thought water was taking a long time to get hot. Turns out that overnight some kind soul had disconnected all gas, water and power to his instantaneous gas HWS and took it with them. So make sure your HWS units have anti-vandal fixings people Dirk Re: Colorbond Fence Stolen in Craigieburn!! 24Jan 08, 2010 10:51 pm dirkadirk CarlousMoochous Also in highlands and a bit paranoid too at the moment. He'd been standing in the shower with freezing cold water waiting for ages for it to get hot. Being such a good friend it took me a while before I stopped & once he stopped calling me all the names and expletives he could think of I set about getting a good deal on a replacement unit for him. We still have a laugh about this storey now. Re: Colorbond Fence Stolen in Craigieburn!! 28Jan 15, 2010 11:20 am my sister in law built some duplexes in Sydney. Wall mounted gas HWS stolen. The annoying part about it is that the people that have stolen it are only about six houses away from us !!!! probably thinking to themselves oh well stocklands will replace it . anyway dont really want to get involved in a feud before i even move in. will just have to cop this on on the chin. doesnt really instill a sense of trust and community spirit . In my opinion you dont need to replace or paint the roof other than treat surface rust… 1 5989 Hi all, Our boundary perimeter fences need replacing (3 sides). From everyone's experience, what would you install? Timber lapped and capped OR colorbond? Thank you. 0 620 |
