We have just noticed on our plan that the bedroom 1 window is quite large leaving only 50cm on either end. Im not sure i like this and do refer to myself as a bit of a mushroom and would prefer to have not so much light coming in. I also think that its just way to big, so was thinking of having one long window along the top of the wall, sort of like a window that you would see in a home theatre. What do you think this would look like? When i get home i will try and find a pic to post on here, i know someone else on this forum has something similar but cant think of the name at the moment.
Anywho the main reason for this post is that if we change the window we need to pay a $500 variation fee, and so thought while i was at it i would have a final look for any other issues.
We have realised that we have no doors to close off the front area of the house from the back area, and thought that perhaps we might put a double door on the home theatre so that it can be closed off if need be. (Its called home theatre on the plan but really its more like a lounge room).
The charge for the cavity slider is $860, the cost for double doors would be $330.
I imagine a cavity slider would look much better however i have no idea how they actually look, so if you have one do you think the $860 charge is reasonable? And if possible could you please post a pic.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated, pic of plan below,
Cheers,
V
