Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 07, 2009 12:15 am Does anyone know how long it really takes lawyers to get everything ready for settlement from when the land titles? Assuming the bank is eager to settle ASAP. The land developer is ready to settle as soon as it titles. How ever our lawyer tells us that THEY need the 14days to prepare which will make our loan contract >6months since signing. I think it's fubar and they're being lazy that the lawyers need 14days to do title searches and IF they do, how do others do early settlement?? Cheers guys. PS. The contract expires on the 20th of Nov. which meant the land needed to title today (which it didn't) and they expect the land to title some time next week. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 Well, finding the right construction lawyer can be a bit of a challenge, but don't get discouraged! 8 25105 I apologise for any confusion, but your understanding is correct.
