I was going to put dimmers on our down lights, but ended up just turning them off and using the LED lights. I remember seeing them at Beacon for about $50 each or something...they were definitely similar in price to downlights..! Re: Decking lights... 14Nov 15, 2009 10:55 pm Hi Matt, they do look great, just a word of advise to anyone else looking at doing this is make sure that you buy a brand from a reputable manufacturer, i have seen so many companies bring in quick shipments of these type of lights and replacements become impossible to get. as you can imagine the obvious problem to this is that you will have a hole in your deck for a specific size light and at a specific (often unmatchable) brightness and colour. buying cheap LED fittings is in my opinion is just asking for trouble ! Re: Decking lights... 15Nov 15, 2009 11:13 pm These were from a company called Brilliant lighting (coincidentally in Rowville too) and were on clearance from somewhere ??? Wait till you see the other LED's path lights Re: Decking lights... 16Nov 16, 2009 9:33 pm I want to do something similar to this in concrete, any idea on how feasable it would be? Re: Decking lights... 17Nov 16, 2009 10:01 pm I have friends that did this and it looked great. A tip would be to get the ones with replaceable globes as they will need replacing one day. Thanks 0 10971 So I'm just reading up on this ecosystem of lights. I'm planning on putting deck lights along the outside edge of a large deck. Will need about 3 packs (18 lights) plus… 0 23019 Use a product like Equisol's Vitalise to clean the deck then coat with a penetrating timber oil. It will look 10 years younger and add value to your home. Visit for… 1 15784 |
