Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 29, 2009 11:49 am I tried to do a Google search but don’t know what they’re called, so it’s bringing up all sorts of results I don’t think are right. I want to buy some of those wall clip things. We have recently had ADSL broadband installed at our place and our phone socket is about 2 rooms away (in the lounge area) from the study where our PC is. We’ve got around having to drag a really long cord from the phone socket and computer modem to the computer by using a wireless dongle to connect the PC and the modem in the different rooms, but the lead running from the phone socket on the wall to the modem, and then the power cord running from the modem to the power point are very unattractive and very tempting for our 2 young cats. At night we have to unplug the lead from the phone socket as it drapes right across the wall in mid-air. It’s too risky for the cats. So, those wall clip things that you stick onto the wall or right near the floor, and they’re circular so you run the cables through them and they keep them stuck right against the wall or along the edge of the floor, and you can direct the cords wherever you want them to go. This is what I want. Does anyone know who sells them? Bunnings I assume would, but it takes us 2 hours to get there and we don’t want to go out there for no reason if they don’t have them. Does Kmart or Target have them? Thank you! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! So Kmart and Target should have those then, seeing as they have the other types of adhesive hangers and hooks. Thank you kindly!! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! No big surprise though. We'll look properly on the weekend. How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Re: Wall clip things to contain cables / leads? 6Oct 29, 2009 7:47 pm The other thing you can use Grace, if you don't mind a slightly industrial look, is something like this. These clips should be available from any local electrical wholesaler, the idea is to nail them into your skirting board (web link for illustrative purposes only): http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/23151 ... astic.html Geoff - Decophile. Re: Wall clip things to contain cables / leads? 7Oct 30, 2009 1:35 pm You know, I wouldn’t mind those, but we don’t actually HAVE skirting boards!!!! We do have cornices (or whatever the top “skirting boards” are called, attached to the ceiling), but we wouldn’t risk nailing anything in there…we have enough trouble with nails in our walls as it is! (incredibly soft walls, nails falling out all the time, etc) Excellent suggestion and item though! How the hell did I become a senior member!? I know nothing! Depends what you're current inclusions are, but we're not including wardrobes and will just use second hand ones until we can save later on to get them built. Also have a… 3 11631 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that.
