Caz No thanks, we sold our western red cedar (I'm presuming this is what it is) home in January this year so that we could build our new home. We repainted and i wanted to put new carpet in too but DH said NO. I am very glad we didn't now as the new owners have a dog inside! Wish we didn't even paint! DH visited to show a few tricks of the house and the dog was scratching on the door trying to get out of the laundry! If I could see into the future we wouldn't have. Good luck with the sale. Yup its a western red, served us well as our first house but waaaaay too small now. We really had to get the carpets redone, they were atrocious after 3 kids had spewed, pooed, nail polished, coloured in, etc to them. We did all the painting, carpets, blinds etc for just under $2k so I'm pretty happy with that. Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! Now comes all the hard work-decorating.... I bet you'll have a lot more people interested in buying it now that the 'hard' work has been done! Re: Old house now for sale! It cost us nearly that just to paint - we didn't do it ourselves! Fingers crossed they offer closer to your asking price. Re: Old house now for sale! Cheers Lou yeah not a huge fan of renting either, but our rental is one of my mum's units so i dont have to worry about breaking leases or anything - plus it is actually slightly bigger than the house we just sold so it snot all bad!! I just dont like the thought of having to move again in 6months, but at least it will be to our beautiful new place and then we wont be moving again for at least 10years!!! Caz & Co ALL MOVED IN!! I can understand a little of what you are going through, because we are just about to put our old house up for sale now the new one is being built. I think I'm actually more excited at the moment about the fact that the "for sale" board is going to appear soon, than the new house being built. We've put new carpet in, painted, & sealed our slate floor; just trying now to tidy up the garden and get all of our excess stuff into storage. Well done, too, for sticking to the price that you wanted! Old Home Restoration / Renovation Hi, just discovered all these junks left behind under the floor. Could any of these be asbestos? Best to leave as it is or clean up? Thank you for your thoughts 0 8070 9 24789 This is one of the reasons I decided to go overseas for my double glazed windows.
