Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 23, 2009 2:36 pm Hi all, I am wondering what are some of the things i should be checking for when buying a new house? At current i plan to arrange a building inspecting for advice on the structure of the house as i plan to get walls knocked out, stumping, white ants, asbestos and electric wiring. I know a builder should be able to assist with most of these and an electrician to see the wiring throughout the house. What have other buyers done before purchasing? I plan to also get quotes on things before i purchase so i am aware of what the cost to renovate will be. Am i been to 'careful' ? Any advice is appreciated, thanks. Also check to see what development is happening in the area change of zonings are there a lot of knock down & rebuilds, any development applications etc. Cheers Lou http://take2-customdesigndownslope.blogspot.com 07-10-09 omg they have cut the block 14-05-10 we finally have the keys Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum.
