Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 10, 2009 3:17 pm OMG i can't believe it, we have finally moved in. We moved in on Thursday and things are still all over the place, so excuse the mess but i have some before and after photos to share with you. Managed to get most of the house painted expect for Bathroom, Ensuite, Toilet and some skirting boards. We used China white half strenght on the walls and as a feature wall in the lounge and dining room we used China White Double strength. We are both very happy with the result of the quick and i mean quick reno. The floor in the lounge, dining, kitchen and hallway was redone in Armstrong Accent Vinyl No 47011 and the bedrooms were done in Daintree Carpet, Colour Leather ( Dark Choc). Still many more jobs to do like a shed and more cement slab on the pergola to fit our outdoor spa in but other than that the move went well. We even received a lovely card today, signed by all of the neighbours in our street, welcoming us to the street. How nice is that, i will be knocking on a few doors in the next few days to say thanks. How nice is that of the neighbours? That's what is missing in a lot of places, a sense of belonging and community and yes, I sound really old saying that... but it's true!!!! Mrs B Re: Finally In - Here Are Some Before And After Photos 8Oct 11, 2009 9:20 am Thanks everyone for your kind words. Still so much to do, i don't quite know where to start. Our only storage space at the moment is the double garage so we are desperate for a shed. My Father In-Law has given us his boat, a 14ft fibreglass runabout thing and he has told my hubby that if he wants to sell it to get more funds for a bigger shed, he can. So that is our priority at the moment. I am a bit of a perfectionist and it is so hard for me to look in the garage and see mowers, whipper snipper stuff, tools, shelves etc in my way. I am intending on turning half of the garage into a workspace/office for me as i have no room at the moment to make my artwork. I actually have a few orders now too, so i will have to make do until the shed comes along. Will catch up again soon and post some more photos once i get around to making some new Fabric Art for my own walls. Hi VK, Think it's worth investing time in an Owner Builder course to equip you with basic knowledge on Australian Building Industry and its regulations. Also, I suggest… 11 23621 Hi brains trust, We had Essastone Unique Calacatta specificed for our bench tops. This has now since been discontinued. What is a good equal alternative?
