Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 04, 2009 7:18 am Hi Ok, so we have a reno contract (Fixed Priced) with floorboards at $75sq2 PC. We went to the builder recommended suppliers and wanted a board worth $100, retail. The people at the suppliers wouldn't tell use what price they would be supplying to the builder, but now I have an invoice from the builder for the $25 p/sq2 extra. Question is, when dealing with PC items, is the standard way, builder takes this amount at a retail price, or there actual buy price (ie including trade discount). Thanks Robin Re: PC items at retail or builders cost 2Oct 04, 2009 10:40 am Generally the builders add 15% to the price they pay. Does this $25 m2 extra include labour? It also says the builder should provide a copy of the receipt/invoice to the owner. In your case - maybe you could ask for this and say you're paying this? do you have a contract that states his profit/overheads?
