Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 02, 2009 4:14 pm Hi there, We've just bought our first home recently in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Built just before the 1970s, it is a weather board home with aluminium cladding and no asbestos, however it has been thoroughly renovated internally, especially the polished floor boards and floating floor boards in the bedrooms; tiling in the kitchen and meals area as well as an updated bathroom, kitchen, laundry and has also been repainted. The house alone is approximately 142 sqm and the total block due to substrata is 408sqm. A 3 bedroom house with a study room, large living area, meals and kitchen, 1x bathroom and a single but large carport. We're looking at doing an extension into the master bedroom which is situated at the front part of the house near the carport. There is a small intersecting corner of land between the master bedroom and second bedroom which we have converted into a gym room, the space is large enough and suitable for an ensuite and WIR. However, the tough part is that we're on a shoe string budget and we would like to know what is the best and cheapest way to have an ensuite and WIR without breaking the budget? Advice would be great. Thanks. Thanks for the suggestion. The space between shower and sinks was too tight. I agree about the toilet location. So I have tried two other options: The lower one is… 3 6128 the step up is 30mm and wanting it to be flat . how much does the concrete have to be lowered .we plan on removing bath and lenghten shower and adding seat. the old bath… 0 11829 |
