Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jun 24, 2007 1:11 pm Moderators, please be patient with this post. I know it should have gone into the doors section but hopefully I'll get more response in here. Would anyone in Melbourne know of a good door supplier. I'm in the middle of a hallway reno and need to replace my front entrance door. It was originally a Jennings built house and has a non standard sized door. I have found a great security door supplier and now I'm looking for a door supplier that will measure and fit a new front door. Any recommendations would be appreciated. How much different is it from standard sizes? Maybe you could go for a stock door from one of the suppliers Matt mentioned and have someone trim it to size and intall. I am assuming that you would want a solid door being the entry, but you can get away with trimming a little from hollow-core doors. Good luck Tony Re: Entry Doors 4Jun 25, 2007 6:57 am uncle_ant Neil How much different is it from standard sizes? This door is WAY bigger than a standard sized door. Jennings had a bad habit of fitting oversized doors, not sure if they still do. It would be great if it was a small door and then I could easily trim it myself. I had thought of making the aperture smaller, but the time needed to do that would mean I'd be without a door for more than a day; not a thought I'd cherish.
