Hi All,
I have posted this in this area as I wasn't sure where this topic would best fit.
I have a question regarding termites in an established place.
I am currently looking for a new home and I have come across a townhouse/apartment that I am interested in.
When I was going throught the section 32 and the minutes from the last body corporate meeting I noticed that a couple of floor boards have been removed and replaced to allow termite baits to be fitted.
Obviously this was a concern to me and I asked the realestate agent about it.
Now im sure a realestate agent wouldn't lie.....and his response was as follows:
"I spoke to the owner and he confirmed that there was no evidence of termites. He said that there were 2 boards that appeared to be 'weak' so as a precautionary measure, they were removed and termite baits were planted. There has been no issue since. ".
Does anyone have any suggestions about this...does it sound right to you??
Thanks for any advice.
