Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Outside Taps 9Sep 02, 2009 10:54 pm cyclone borg how about an outdoor hotwater tap. I have put one outdoor but i have never seen any one else do it before. Yep, i've got a tempered tap near the garage overall, i've got 8 external taps. Wow why do you need 8 external taps? Metricon Amira Re: Outside Taps 10Sep 02, 2009 11:02 pm We had 2 at the last house that we built on a large suburban block and then had a 3rd put on below a retaining wall later on. but there was one section of yard that we could never reach. This time on 3/4 of an acre we've gone for 3 to start with but I imagine we will need to consider another one or two later on when we develop the rest of the block. last weekend we were considering a small bonfire to get rid of some wood we can't use BUT we didn't have enough hose extensions to run a hose to where we wanted to do the bonfire because the tap was so far away. So no bonfire for us as we didn't want to do one without a water source nearby. Hand held hoses, sprinklers and watering systems may be used only before 10 am and after 4 pm on any day - to avoid the heat of the day No hosing of hard surfaces such as paths and driveways. Washing vehicles is allowed. Fire hoses may be used for fire fighting activities only. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We are allowed to wash our cars in Sydney but you MUST have a TRIGGER nozle attached to the hose. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Re: Outside Taps 13Sep 03, 2009 9:37 am We put in TWO taps, one at the back on the corner of the house and one at the front opposite corner. I would like one at the rear of the back yard too, but maybe later. www.themaxbuild.blogspot.com forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=20717&start=300 www.leahspaperpassion.blogspot.com Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included.
