I am about to replace the waterline tiles in my pool and have found samples of both. Physically they look the same (same size, same 'gloss', both supplied on the mesh backing). The porcelain colour seems to run deeper throughout the depth of the tile which i think is one of the benefits. ie. longer lasting, less fading over time. but is there a preference over one or the other, particularly if fully submersed? Does the adhesive or grout used change depending on which one is used? The trick with pool tiles is to work fast to allow for adhesive bonding and peeling off papers and properly alignment of those tiles if you are not DIY then it will be cheaper to get ceramic quotes.
