Re: Rain Water Concrete Sump 5Nov 04, 2009 10:42 am http://www.dtbpumps.com/rain_return.html Buy a rain return from these guys. Sump and pump in one. About $1100. You need a float switch to go from the sump to the tank so it stops pumping when tank is full. Re: Rain Water Concrete Sump 6Nov 05, 2009 8:16 am I just build a concrete sump yesterday. I will post some photos when I get them. My sump is going to be used for my paving run off which is not good for the rainwater tank because of debris. You only need a sump if your block is lower than the street, to pump the water up hill. My downpipes are connected straight to the rainwater tank, and overflow goes to the street, you dont need a sump to do this as the rainwater tank is higher than the street, and water flows downhill. Can a plumber put a tap on a rain water tank which is full? Tank is similar to one in photo. Cheers. 0 1663 Hi, does anyone have any experience with using Trex rain escape or EPDM rubber to waterproof a deck so you have dry space underneath.
