Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 19, 2009 3:44 pm HI there We have cracks down the length of our ceiling in our main living areas. The house is 30 years old, so obviously the age is starting to show! Can anyone advise what a plasterers hourly rate is? (Melb) Or is this something easy that we could attempt ourselves? We will also have a bit of cornice and wall work to do, as every room in our house has built in dark timber cupboards or shelving, which is all going! The crow bar leaves holes! Thanks for any advice Re: Cost of Plastering 2Aug 19, 2009 4:55 pm I don't think I would attempt to do it yourself. I think it's not as easy as people think. Patching 1 hole would be a different story but a whole ceiling with cornice would be harder. I will ask my DP what the hourly rate is when he gets home from work.
