It uses magnets, and magnetic force to induce perpetual motion. It runs by itself, indefinitely without stopping, thus creating completely free electrical energy... A Perpetual motion device refers to a machine that runs perpetually i.e. indefinitely, and produces a larger amount of energy than it consumes. Thus, it produces free energy indefinitely, runs by itself, without having to need a third-party device or resource to power it... What do You think? I really like to see that in person not sure about producing enough energy to cut power bills Re: The Guy Built Magnetic Power generator-24KW Free Home Energy 6Aug 20, 2009 2:16 pm Lots of technologies like this one coming out over the next 3-5 years. Basically the idea is that you might have a Solar PV system, a Fuel cell system and something like this thing, so that each house has a building block of products that makes it self sufficent. ~W~ Building our forever home - Lilium Estate Clyde - Land due May 2019 Built our first home - Pakenham - 2011 Re: The Guy Built Magnetic Power generator-24KW Free Home Energy 7Aug 20, 2009 5:31 pm I can't believe that there are people out that would believe this. Perpetual motion is a myth, like the hanging gardens of babylon. There won't be any technologies like this coming out in the next 3 to 5 years. Newton's 1st and 3rd laws of motion exclude the idea of perpetual motion. Energy output cannot exceed energy input, in whatever form. Perpetual motion is against the laws of physics, simple as that. Consider this, when you push a car, it starts rolling and then stops. Because of the force of friction, it takes the energy you have put into the system and converts it into, usually, heat. Sure, this is a very basic rundown of the whole thing. The same with a system based on magnets. You need to put energy into a system to get it started and then that energy will be removed through friction, coverted to heat, with the air and any axles or removed through the conversion into electricity. It will stop and that will be that. You will need to input more energy to start it up, and you will get less energy out of the system than what you put in. Perpetual motion is to physics as gold from lead is to alchemists. Your not seriously trying to say that if a man that died 300 years ago didnt think of it then it isnt possible... please tell me otherwise Re: The Guy Built Magnetic Power generator-24KW Free Home Energy 9Aug 21, 2009 5:54 pm cheetah digamma Newton's 1st and 3rd laws of motion exclude the idea of perpetual motion. Your not seriously trying to say that if a man that died 300 years ago didnt think of it then it isnt possible... please tell me otherwise I've got no idea what your saying, but it has nothing to do with Newton not thinking of it first, ergo it's not possible. What I said clearly is that the laws of physics don't change. I did a little more looking and the idea of perpetual motion also violates the 1st and 2nd law of thermodynamics, check out this interesting wikipedia page that explains how and why perpetual motion cannot exist. It's right up there with Nigerian scams, never fails to sucker a few people, who then work out that what science and smart people realise can't work. Also, for some more light reading, check out the Law of Conservation of Energy that gives some more background on why it is IMPOSSIBLE. Savvy? Re: The Guy Built Magnetic Power generator-24KW Free Home Energy 10Aug 29, 2009 12:46 pm Nuclear fusion is probably as close as we can get to perpetual motion and that isn't a man made possibility yet(the sun can do it). Still requires fuel though but has the best conversion rate of any energy production I've heard of. Gravity. Its the law. Some people will believe anything. Free power for all would be nice but it really is not going to happen this way. Mr Newton's theories still apply even tho he is slightly out of date. Having said that i hope i am wrong, but just think about the ramifications. All power companies going broke, hydro dams- wind generators- solar panels- power grids- all useless. Just imagine??? to big for me to even contemplate. Would even suggest industrial espionage to stop it. This would easily be the biggest invention of the century, or for that matter even include last century. Daryl Re: The Guy Built Magnetic Power generator-24KW Free Home Energy 13Aug 30, 2009 7:01 pm Perpetual motion is a myth, but finding energy sources which we don't need to expend energy ourselves to use are not. Like solar power - it's there already, all we need to do is collect it. Similarly the sun is a "free" source of light. And rivers are a "free" source of motion. All with "free" being defined as "it's already there".
