Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 18, 2009 7:18 pm Hi,
Has anyone of you who purchased a land that was reserved by Porter Davis, got their fixed site cost before contract signing even w/o the final soil test report? Our CSA told us that they can't give us fixed site costs without the final soil test? My understanding from our sales consultant was that we would get a fixed site costs before contract because the land we got was from PD.. Re: PD reserved land 2Aug 18, 2009 8:50 pm MMmm sounds strange. We bought PD reserved land before it had settled and they gave us our fixed site costs. They still haven't completed soil tests due to the land not being ready yet. ---------------------------------------- Building the PD Lisbon 24 http://www.porterdavis.com.au/#homeviewer/lisbon/24 Blog of our progress. http://lisbon24.blogspot.com/ Homeone build thread https://forum.homeone.com.au/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=28665 Re: PD reserved land 5Aug 19, 2009 7:24 pm We are building with PD.. and we wanted a block that wasn't theres.. they came out and just 'looked' at it and said they'd fix site costs for us and did fix them without even doing a soil report!! So.. I'd assume they can fix site costs for reserved land without final soil reports, surely. Then the site costs should be fixed, have you got your sales quotation from your consultant, it should state in there that site costs are fixed ? Re: PD reserved land 8Aug 24, 2009 1:12 pm Hi I am building with PD and we had a land all ready and when we went to sign up we paid i think about a $500 dep to lock in a date thats all we did then they did a soil test and told us how much it was going to cost us once they did that nad if we were happy with it we paid the rest of the dep which wasnt much funny that i cant remember but they should give you what it will cost all you will be doing is paying for the soil test which usualy cost about $500 to $600. I think if PD were going to give someone a quote with out the soil test would mean they own them and have ideas of the cost. Ours was a reef of rock but the funny thing was the manager met with us because it was a high quote and didnt think we would go a head with it and when we said we would he told us not to worry and if the pull out a few cars thats there problem and when they started i dont think they thought they were going to hit as much rock as they did which is disapointing because i think he thought he was going to make money well it back fiired and as i said they hit a reef and they didnt dig in as much as they said they would and i think now they are loosing money on it. Yeah I don't know why I came to a forum. Place is full of wierdos/pedos thought internet may help but I suppose I'll try my luck with someone in person. Cheers.
