You'd be surprised how many germ freaks there are out there! And how the lengths they go to in order to avoid touching surfaces commonly touched are so similar.
But you'd think by now, with so many diseases floating about, H1N1 being the latest, building-appliance designers would have made foot-operated doors etc. My building currently has radar-operated taps or something and it's good but I still must open the door with my hands! Now if some grub has fled from the loo through the main door, without detouring to the taps, I'm confronted with a door handle squirming with e-coli!
I just can't undestand why it's taken so long for those who design public toilets to get their act together and design more hygenic facilities! It shouldn't be hard!
