I want to wall-mount one of the additional handsets so we can have the main phone next to the modem etc in another room.
Anyone know of a phone system we can do this with?
Browse Forums General Discussion Re: CORDLESS PHONE 22May 20, 2009 11:45 am I just bought this one.. http://www.dse.com.au/cgi-bin/dse.store ... duct/F7742 for $129 from Officeworks. It has mounting plate for the main phone base, and the additional handset base has holes so you can mount it directly to the wall. Is that what you meant? Re: CORDLESS PHONE 24May 20, 2009 1:24 pm That's what I thought but reading the manual it explains how you can put screws in the wall and directly put the charger of the additional phone on the wall as well. And yes it does have the spots for screws to go. Re: CORDLESS PHONE 25May 20, 2009 1:34 pm Another feature I like about it that my last phone didn't have is the shared phone book..you only have to enter your numbers once and they get transferred to the other phone..so you don't have to do it twice.. Re: CORDLESS PHONE 27May 21, 2009 5:50 am For panasonic cordless phones on ebay go here http://stores.ebay.com.au/Electronic-An ... l-Seconds/ ... I bought my one of him and several family members as well , all as good as new and half the price you will pay in a store ... Re: CORDLESS PHONE 28May 21, 2009 10:19 am Went to Myers lastnight to have a good look at the range before making a purchase. I was hoping to get a Uniden with the aforementioned wall mounting feature. However it looks like only Panasonics allow it. Ohwell. Thanks for the link da68za. Go the 5.8 Re: CORDLESS PHONE 34Jun 20, 2009 10:48 pm Dragonfly lisanne I'm in the need for a new cordless phone, is it better to get a 5.8Ghz over a 1.8Ghz? or is there no real difference? 5.8Ghz means you are less likely to get interference from someone elses phone, and nobody will be able to cut into yours by accident...or something like that..more secure. I have had 3 panasonics now, the last one, one handest died just after a year and it was going to cost more to replace one handset than to buy 2 handset with answering machine. Crazy!! Also something you might not encounter but i had a few dramas hooking up the panasonic to our modem to use for VOIP, There can be clashes with panasonics and certain modems. Lots of tweaking later and it is finally working well. Uniden seem to come with a 5 year warranty too i think. Well the one i bought for my parents did Re: CORDLESS PHONE 36Jun 21, 2009 11:59 am Uniden here too, we only replaced our last set because the power adapter thingy's started buzzing, can't remember how long we had them for, was a fair while. We got one of the long range models so hubby can take calls when he's working around the property. The inlaws have always had the cheaper Panasonics and have been happy with it (I mean the cheaper model without the led screen etc). I think they have a uniden now though! My mother has uniden too and always uses the speakerphone so I can talk to both of them at once. I hardly ever use speakerphone, especially with my noisy kids in the background, but it is a great feature to put on when they both want to say hello to the grandies or dadddy etc. Re: CORDLESS PHONE 37Jun 21, 2009 12:28 pm I've been shopping! I bought the Uniden DSS8955 with 3 handsets! I so don't need 3 but it was only an extra $30 for the extra handset 'A bottle of wine contains more philosophy than all the books in the world.'
