The house is 14.3m wide and would like the fence to be built and rendered and have an automatic sliding gate. Is there a basic ballpark figure I would be looking at or is it impossible to state? EDIT- Just a simple fence like this one + automatic gate. http://www.superiordoorcompany.com.au/i ... %20004.jpg Re: Front fence + automatic gate 2Aug 03, 2009 7:58 am I had my current gate installed really cheap, by a guy who advertised around our neighbourhood. Just for the single slide gate, I think I paid around $2000 for a new slide gate and then $1000 for the motor and installation. So about $3000 all up. With our new place, we're using a bigger company who's doing it together with our paving, landscaping etc.. but it's costing $7000 all up. So for the electric and the slide gate component you're up for between $3000 and $7000. Then add X amount for any rendering, pillars, etc that you need. Just as a rough guide, i'm being charged around $500 per pillar ($600 if it's a mailbox pillar), then around $400 for a small gate for guests.
